I am thrilled to share exciting news from the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development regarding the selection of six new LaunchLNK grant recipients. We are so proud of the impact of our LaunchLNK program and the important role this initiative plays in providing the resources necessary to help businesses grow and thrive in Lincoln.
Since its inception in 2018, LaunchLNK has proven its effectiveness in fueling Lincoln’s startup ecosystem. The 24 program alumni have collectively raised over $95.5 million in follow-on funding and grants, illustrating the significance programs like this play in driving economic growth in our community. Building on the success of the past five years, we expanded the program this year to offer grants to six startups, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to nurturing a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem within our city.
The LaunchLNK program awards $20,000 non-dilutive grants to high-growth startups in Lincoln and provides connections to additional resources to accelerate their growth. From startup accounting services to intellectual property support, this program ensures startups have access to a comprehensive network designed to empower their success.
Congratulations to the 2024 LaunchLNK cohort:
The Headset App – The Headset App solves the cross-industry problem of outdated and overpriced radio-based communication systems for teams by introducing a new app-based platform that offers teams a simple, affordable and superior experience with devices they already own.
Road Sentinel – Road Sentinel’s AI inspection tool quickly determines if a road safety barrier or guard rail structure is damaged or not operational. This greatly reduces the time to inspect and prioritize repairs that in the U.S. could save three lives per day.
Larkspur Upholstery Studio, LLC – Larkspur Upholstery Studio offers professional residential and commercial upholstery services ranging from repairs to reupholstery and custom furniture. They are poised for growth and expansion into retail.
DARO, LLC – DARO is revolutionizing farm resiliency with pathogen surveillance systems that enhance livestock health, productivity and biosecurity. Their innovative solutions provide near real-time monitoring and analysis to detect, forecast and prevent diseases, empowering farmers to make informed decisions.
ReUnite – ReUnite’s solution embeds software on resale websites to acquire buyer interest data and leverages the insights to increase sales by informing what can be resold and targeting interested buyers.
Viosimos Agriculture LLC – Vio Ag will provide a biofungicide for pathogens that are difficult to treat with conventional fungicides, a major problem for agricultural producers in the U.S. and worldwide.
I look forward to watching these six dynamic startups make meaningful contributions to Lincoln’s ongoing economic vitality. Their success is not only a testament to their ingenuity and hard work, but also to the strength of our entrepreneurial community.
