“Better Together.” It’s a phrase our team at the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce embraces and one that also rings true for an exciting new opportunity for members of the Lincoln business community. Recognizing the power of collaboration, I am thrilled to announce plans for an intercity visit to Boise, ID with our friends at the Greater Topeka Partnership this summer. Together, we will embark on a powerful journey of learning and innovation in one of the fastest growing cities in the country.
This unique trip, scheduled for July 16-19, aims to unite community and business leaders from Lincoln and Topeka for exclusive opportunities to build relationships and identify innovative opportunities to advance our communities. While it is not uncommon for Chambers of Commerce to participate in intercity visits of this nature, to our knowledge, this trip to Boise is the first time two communities have partnered to visit a third city together, elevating opportunities to share best practices and expanding the potential for transformative relationship-building.
Boise was selected as the perfect destination for this trip after extensive research on several other growing cities across the country. Known for its vibrancy and forward-thinking approach, Boise will serve as an incredible platform for collaboration and learning. As capital cities, Lincoln and Topeka share many similarities with Boise, and I am eager for members of our community to learn more about the areas in which Boise excels. From their nationally recognized thriving downtown and arts district to significant progress in entrepreneurship and innovation, Boise is the ideal location for our two communities to learn and grow together. By uncovering more about Boise’s growth strategies first-hand, business leaders from both Lincoln and Topeka will identify new insights that will benefit our communities for years to come.
While in Boise, attendees will have the opportunity to build powerful relationships, engage in thoughtful discussions, participate in site visits and attend a variety of interactive sessions. I am so excited for members of our business community to forge connections on this trip with community leaders, local elected officials and other like-minded individuals from both Lincoln and Topeka, as well as Boise.
Business and community leaders won’t want to miss the incredible opportunity to participate in this transformative, educational experience.
