Digital Sky – ARE YOU READY TO GAIN ALTITUDE?

Digital Sky (www.digitalsky.comwas born at the intersection of film and flight when two aspiring minds met and decided to set out to be the best aerial video producers the Midwest had ever seen. Grant Schlichtman, a graduate of the Los Angeles Film School and creative director for ABC News, and Justin Kyser, an FAA licensed commercial pilot, knew that their skills would be a natural complement to each other. In what has become an overnight success four years in the making, Digital Sky provides unique services to our clients through two divisions. Digital Sky is a leader in full scale video production, working for brands such as Endicott Clay Products Company, Hughes Brothers Manufacturing and many others to produce awe-inspiring videos and photos that help in their marketing efforts, oftentimes utilizing our fleet of high-performance professional video production drones. That’s not all to the story though. Digital Sky’s industrial services division provides services such as aerial volumetric analysis, aerial mapping, inspections, and many others to engineers, architects, bridge inspectors, and surveyors.

At Digital Sky, we believe that anyone can Gain Altitude. It’s up to the individual to decide what that means to them. To us, it means performing tasks more efficiently, with greater safety, at a greater cost savings. We make it our goal to help our clients do that, and it works. Ask any of our 70+ clients and they’ll all say something along the lines of, “Digital Sky takes our vision, and makes it become a reality. They’re fun to work with, know what they’re doing, and deliver on their promises.” Nothing leaves our desk until we’re 100% certain that it will exceed your needs because the work we do reflects who we are, and we take pride in every single deliverable.

2017 was a year of firsts for Digital Sky. In addition to regular video production and industrial work, we were awarded a contract to perform the first ever drone-based right-of-way inspection for Lincoln Electric System (LES), which involved flying over 260 miles of high-voltage electrical lines, as well as a contract to perform the first ever aerial bridge inspections for the State of Nebraska Department of Transportation. Digital Sky also performed the first live drone broadcast for a major sports event in Nebraska at Creighton University, in conjunction with Fox Sports Network, to demonstrate our capabilities with aerial sports broadcasting and how it could potentially replace aerial footage from blimps and other manned aircraft.

One of the newest Digital Sky initiatives, Get Social, aims to help companies and other organizations get better access to high-quality, low-cost social media video production from a real production company! We’ve heard over and over again from current clients that the video production they were getting from marketing firms just didn’t cut it. We built Get Social to address that.
