American Advertising Federation Shares Social Media Tips with Lincoln Businesses
With an eye toward helping local businesses increase their successes in trying economic times, the Lincoln chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) (aaflincoln.org) offered up 20 tips for effective use of social media by businesses. The tips cover topics including how-to posts, customer reviews, blog posts, products, business culture, questions, infographics, live videos, events, user generated content, throwback posts, and more. Some of the recommendations include:
- Post positive customer reviews and be sure to respond to all complaints in a timely manner
- Showcase your business culture, from work outings to anniversaries
- Post all job listings and open positions, including required qualifications
- Use Facebook event pages for anything you’re sponsoring or hosting
- Highlight fellow businesses through shout-outs
- Provide social-media coupons—give your customers a reward for following you
- Show the people what makes your brand unique and authentic
