A former Lincolnite has returned and brings her event planning expertise gained from her business experience in the Minnesota Twin Cities. That is where former Lincoln resident Annette Marquez founded The Perfect Occasion LLC in 2005. She specializes in providing comprehensive event planning services to non-profits, associations, small and medium sized businesses for their events such as client or volunteer appreciation, fund-raising, recognition banquets and annual meetings.
Marquez acknowledges that hiring a professional event planner may seem counterintuitive. But in fact, she says, it does provide many benefits, including cost savings. She explained that outside expertise can pull together the various components so that the event becomes what the client envisioned with minimal disruption of normal staff activity. A planner facilitates development of an event plan, coordinates arrangements and preparations and deals with venues and vendors.
