This significant step forwards the initiative to enhance Lincoln’s ability to host major conventions and events. The Request for Proposals (RFP) was issued on January 12 and sought submissions from landowners within Downtown Lincoln or its immediate vicinity, capable of accommodating the ambitious scope of the planned convention center. By the deadline on February 29, Assemble Lincoln received noteworthy proposals from the following organizations:
- Garfield Public/Private
- REV Development
- Oak Lake Development
- WRK Real Estate
The proposals and public sites are currently undergoing a thorough evaluation process.
