Associates in Counseling & Treatment (ACT) (actnebraska.org) continues to expand its behavioral health and court-related services to meet the needs of individuals, families, employers and referral partners throughout Nebraska.
ACT provides in-person and virtual counseling, evaluations and educational services, including substance use, mental health, gambling and co-occurring evaluations, intensive outpatient treatment, outpatient counseling, anger management, Domestic Violence Intervention Programming (DVIP) and Alcohol/DUI Education.
ACT has recently expanded its services to include Department of Transportation (DOT) Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) Evaluations and Return-to-Duty Services. ACT’s qualified SAP provides required initial evaluations, education and/or treatment recommendations, follow-up evaluations and follow-up testing plans to guide employees in DOT safety-sensitive positions through the federally required return-to-duty process.
ACT also offers multiple men’s and women’s DVIP groups throughout the week. Live, facilitator-led virtual classes increase access for individuals across Nebraska, including those in rural communities where programming may be limited.
“We continue to look at where there are gaps in services and how ACT can make quality treatment and programming easier to access,” said Megan Leikam, owner and executive director of ACT. “Our goal is to provide professional services while treating every person with dignity and respect.”
ACT accepts many private insurance plans and Medicaid for eligible behavioral health services and offers a sliding fee scale for qualifying individuals. DOT SAP services are separate specialized services.
ACT is located at 5600 P St. in Lincoln and serves individuals throughout Nebraska. For more information, contact information@actnebraska.org or visit actnebraska.org.
