Better Business Bureau of the Midwest Plains (BBB) (bbb.org) is thrilled to announce the recipients of the 2024 Student of Integrity Scholarships. 15 high school students have been selected to receive $2,000 toward their post-secondary education–14 being first-generation students.
The BBB’s Education Foundation invites students to participate in the program to share personal stories of ethical dilemma and integrity.
The 2024 scholarships have been awarded to students from five regions within the BBB Midwest Plains service area:
- Omaha & Southwest Iowa: Rory Madsen (Logan-Magnolia High School), Ryleigh Brodigan (East Mills High School), Lwe Kbaw Hser (Omaha Northwest High School)
- Lincoln & Greater Nebraska: Miya Carey (West Holt High School), Franchel Tennant (Cozad High School), Mateen Younis (Lincoln North Star High School)
- Kansas Plains: Kylynn Miller (Weskan High School), Adam Bosworth (Wichita High School North), Zariyana Cathey (Salina Central High School)
- Kansas City & Western Missouri: Haley Boydston (Smithville High School), Jehaan Munye (North Kansas High School), Destiny Summers (Raytown Senior High School) \
- South Dakota: Chasety Christensen (Huron High School), Carmen Herrera (Redfield High School), Aiden Westcott (O’Gorman High School)
“Education has long been a priority of the BBB, and this scholarship program is part of that commitment,” said Jim Hegarty, BBB Midwest Plains President and CEO. “We are especially proud to expand our reach, including our new service area in Kansas City and Western Missouri, offering more scholarships than ever before.”
All recipients have been invited to be celebrated at the 2024 BBB Torch Awards Luncheon, held at A View West Shores on Tuesday, September 24, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., doors opening at 10:30 a.m. Secure tickets at bbb.org/omahatorch.
