Bennie Johnson, CEO of the American Marketing Association (AMA) (amalincoln.org), visited the Lincoln chapter of the national organization for a speaking event on Thursday, February 8.

As part of AMA Lincoln’s monthly lunch-hour Signature Speaker series, Bennie held a brief presentation to local marketing and advertising professionals. He pointed toward tools like artificial intelligence as an example of how fast things can change, reminding the crowd that imagination and embracing the dynamism of our world are critical for modern marketers.

The evening before the event, AMA Lincoln hosted an exclusive dinner with Bennie and a collection of Lincoln marketing leaders from companies and agencies in the surrounding area.

Bennie was named CEO of the American Marketing Association in late 2022 and has made great strides in his time with the organization, visiting chapters across the country for events similar to the one held by AMA Lincoln.

“It was a great honor to have Bennie visit Lincoln,” says current president of AMA Lincoln Mandy Peterson. “He’s an incredible leader, and it was wonderful giving our members the opportunity to connect with him. Events like this also serve as a good reminder for our members that we aren’t just a local organization — when you’re an AMA member, you get a whole host of national benefits as well!”
