Group Therapy Bike Tours (www.grouptherapybiketours.com) is excited to announce that as part of recent city and state legislation granting special liquor licenses to those in the mobile entertainment industry, the locally owned and operated business has been granted the state’s first ever Pedal Pub Liquor License.
An industry with very little regulation with respect to alcohol in the past, the recent bill will impact businesses statewide by allowing each to obtain the license that allows them to serve or permit patrons to consume alcohol at their own discretion. It also seeks to ensure that responsible business practices are being upheld and adequate safety measures are in place when alcohol is present.
Although now considered by law to be a pedal pub, or “rolling bar,” Group Therapy Bike Tours has opted to take a unique approach that fits within their business model, allowing guests to bring their own beverages on board to enjoy. As always, there is a responsible tour guide to ensure the safety of guests throughout the tour. Though not a mobile bar when operating for citywide tours, Group Therapy Bike Tours will also offer the option for booking as full service bar, with concierge bar services at any outdoor event or indoor events where the bike can be brought inside the building.
