Hampton Construction has been chosen to construct the new district office building for Lincoln Public Schools at 5901 O St., the site where the former building was destroyed by fire in May.

One of the largest office building projects in Lincoln at just over 100,400 square feet, the new LPS district office will be approximately the same size as the previous building. Initial plans call for at least a two-story structure.

Groundbreaking for the LPS district office is scheduled for on or before May1, 2012, with completion set for the summer of 2013.  LPS chose Hampton from a field of seven applicants.

Founded in 1948 by Joe Hampton, Hampton Construction is celebrating more than 60 years in business and – as Lincoln’s premier commercial builder – has been chosen to help construct the West Haymarket Arena. The $168 million facility is slated for completion in the fall of 2013.  Hampton Construction and Hampton Realty are divisions of Hampton, which employs more than 65 people with expertise in land development, commercial and general contracting, commercial construction management, real estate brokerage, property management, and building maintenance.
