Home Care Partners of Nebraska to Host AARP Prepare to Care Trainings
Karla Frese and Andrew Carlson with Home Care Partners of Nebraska (www.homecarepartnersofnebraska.com) invite you to their office (301 S. 68 St. Place) for a Prepare to Care training on Friday, February 8 and 15 at 9 a.m.
Prepare to Care is a resource guide for families that was developed by AARP to help make the job of care giving more manageable. It includes information on how to have vital conversations with older family members, organize important documents, assess your loved one’s needs, and locate important resources.
“When it comes to caring for a loved one, most families don’t have a plan until a problem or crisis emerges. People can now expect to live 20 to 30 years beyond the traditional retirement age of 65. It is now more important than ever to prepare for future care giving demands,” said Karla, owner of Home Care Partners of Nebraska.
Interested individuals are invited to join the class to gain a framework to help you make plans to care for family members, neighbors, and friends. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn the steps to create a care-giving plan, connect with other family caregivers, exchange tips and advice, and learn about resources available to you and your loved ones.
Home Care Partners of Nebraska (www.homecarepartnersofnebraska.com) is looking forward to seeing you at one of these two training opportunities. Any questions can be directed to Karla at (402) 780-1211 / Karla@HomeCarePartnersofNebraska.com.
