Labor Department Awards Gold Medallion to ALLO in Recognition of Hiring Veterans

The U.S. Department of Labor recently awarded ALLO Communications (allocommunications.com) the prestigious Gold Medallion from the HIRE Vets program, which recognizes companies that are committed to hiring, training, and developing Veterans. Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts officially awarded the Medallion to ALLO during a small ceremony at the Nebraska State Capitol on Thursday, December 3. Launched in 2018, the HIRE Vets Act Award is the only federal accolade that recognizes business efforts to successfully recruit, hire, and retain Veterans in the workforce. ALLO was one of just four Nebraska companies to receive the award in 2020, with other Medallion winners including Berry Law, Persevus LLC, and Executive Airborne Solutions.

“We are honored to be recognized as one of four companies to receive the award in Nebraska,” said ALLO Director Todd Heyne. “ALLO is dedicated to hiring veterans, as they bring a wealth of dedication and knowledge to our customers and company. The HIRE Vets Medallion Award recognizes ALLO’s commitment to veterans and the positive impact they bring to our organization—a job well done to ALLO’s managers, veterans, and recruiters for this well-deserved recognition! ALLO is actively seeking the skills and assets that veterans bring to its communities, and we look forward to adding more veterans to our growing team.”

ALLO Communications specializes in providing world-class communications services by creating gigabit communities. The company provides broadband, telephone, and video solutions to businesses, residents, and governmental entities over fiber networks and currently has operations in Lincoln, plus eight other Nebraska communities and two cities in Colorado.
