Earlier this year the State of Nebraska selected the Lincoln Airport Authority to construct a crime laboratory for the Nebraska State Patrol in the Lincoln Airport’s Air Park Industrial Park. When complete the $9,000,000.00 facility will comprise some 28,000 sq. ft. and contain some of the most sophisticated forensic analysis equipment available for criminal investigations. The Nebraska State Patrol Crime Lab supports state and local law enforcement agencies throughout Nebraska.
The Lincoln Airport Authority hosted a groundbreaking ceremony at the site on Thursday, August 14th at 10 a.m. The site is located just east of Oak Creek at 3977 Air Park Road. In addition to Lincoln Airport Authority officials, Governor Dave Heineman and other state and local officials were present to mark the start of construction.
