The owners of Lincoln Family Funeral Care, the newest full service funeral home in Lincoln, NE have purchased Wadlow Rozanek Funeral Home as of December 1, 2014. Wadlow Rozanek has been a part of Lincoln’s history for over 90 years.
The Cecil Wadlow Family established Wadlow’s in 1922, then located at 1225 L Street, and in 1979 they welcomed Rod Rozanek as a partner. On August 29, 1988 the ribbon cutting ceremony took place at the new Wadlow Rozanek facility located at 5200 R Street where it’s still at today. Wadlow Rozanek Funeral Home has been and continues to be locally and family owned.
The new owners from Lincoln Family Funeral Care have over 40 years combined experience in funeral care, and a professional staff committed to providing dignified, respectful and compassionate assistance to every family. They will continue their goal of specializing in all service offerings, including living funerals and celebrant services. Both locations offer pre-planning consultations and will honor all prearranged funerals transferred from other funeral homes.
As part of the transition, the name will change from Wadlow Rozanek to Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Building updates are also scheduled, but guests are always welcome to stop by for a cup of coffee and a tour.
