Lincoln Young Professionals Group Adapts Online Materials in Response to COVID
The Lincoln Young Professionals Group (YPG; lincolnypg.com) has been adapting its online materials in response to COVID restrictions. These initiatives include digital events for the following topics: learning how to cook, starting a garden, budgeting, and other items; enabling you to connect with others during virtual happy hours, bingo, and trivia; and exploring physical, mental, and financial wellness.
In light of all of the business changes due to the pandemic, Jordan Gonzales, chairman of the Lincoln YPG, says despite the challenges, he remains optimistic about the future for young professionals in Lincoln.
“Our generations–Millennials and Gen Z–are resilient and have witnessed numerous tumultuous events,” he said. “To live greatly, we must develop the capacity to face trouble with courage, disappointment with cheerfulness, and ensure our spirit bends but doesn’t break.”
Lincoln Young Professionals Group serves as a hub to engage young professionals in the community. Lincoln YPG is the largest in the state of Nebraska and is in the top 10 YP groups in the country, representing more than 2,000 YPs.
