Maly Marketing Owner Launches Online Coronavirus Group for Small Businesses
Overcoming the Coronavirus Together is a small-business group started by Lincoln entrepreneur Steve Maly, owner of Maly Marketing (malymarketing.com), along with co-instigator, Eric Sullivan. The goal of the group is to share ideas in a safe and productive way.
Maly wanted to provide a place for business owners to make connections that will help them not just during these challenges but afterwards as well. Built around a weekly ZOOM call—every Friday at 11 a.m.—and Facebook group, the group allows small-business owners and entrepreneurs to share ideas, strategies, and insights to cope with the challenges presented by the coronavirus outbreak.
In addition to the support and ideas created within the local business community, the group brings in a featured speaker to their weekly ZOOM call in an effort to bring in valuable insights to help the group members succeed in a highly uncertain business environment.
According to Maly, “We know that the entrepreneurs of Lincoln and the surrounding areas offer a wealth of knowledge, not just about business, but about overcoming obstacles, working with bureaucracy, and solving problems in a creative way. What Eric and I wanted to do was help these successful people come together and help each other get through this challenge. We also wanted to bring in some voices that could help the group as a whole, that’s where Phil and Rhonda came in.”
He’s referring to Phil Towle, a performance coach to executives and rock stars alike, who spoke on breaking through barriers, and Rhonda Britten, a speaker and author who deals with how to overcome fear. Both have recently addressed the Lincoln group on their weekly ZOOM call, and more speakers are being contacted for the upcoming weeks.
