National Association of Women in Construction Announces Fall Conference

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC; www.nawicmidwestregion.org) has chosen the dates and location for the Midwest Region Fall Conference. The Midwest Region, known as the Heart of NAWIC, includes 17 chapters and spans nine states including Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Missouri, and Kansas.

The Fall Conference will be held October 16–17 at the newly-renovated Kahler Grand Hotel in Rochester, MN. The conference focus this year represents the responsibilities members have to themselves, their employers, their families, their chapter, their communities, and the construction industry.

NAWIC Chapter #116 is based in Omaha and encompasses Omaha, Lincoln, Council Bluffs, and the surrounding areas. First chartered in 1966, the chapter has approximately 60 members working in businesses whose primary focus is the construction industry.

Receiving its national charter in 1955, NAWIC has 3,949 current active members in 118 chapters across the United States. The core purpose of the organization is to strengthen and amplify the success of women in the construction industry.

For additional conference details including professional development and education session information, speakers, networking activities, and social events, updates will be posted on the NAWIC conference page at www.nawicmidwestregion.org.
