NAWIC Announces Funding for Endowed Scholarship for NU Construction Student

The Greater Omaha, Nebraska Chapter 116 of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC, nawicomaha.com) is excited to announce funding for a second endowed scholarship. The chapter began funding an endowed scholarship at Metropolitan Community College (MCC) in 2018, and students attending the University of Nebraska (NU) for a construction-focused degree soon will be able to apply for a NAWIC-endowed scholarship, as well. Interested parties should contact the Financial Aid Office at MCC and NU for additional information about the two scholarships.

NAWIC is committed to championing women to impact the direction of the construction industry. They provide women with education, support, and networking to help advance their careers in construction, build their technical skills, and help them become leaders. All women working in construction are eligible for membership, including those working in the trades, project management, marketing, administration, and executive leadership. Women in related industries who work on construction-related business, such as finance, legal, and other industries, are welcome too. Meetings for the Greater Omaha area are on the second Thursday of each month in varied locations and are open to the public.
