NAWIC Omaha Chapter’s 2020 In the Rough Golf Tournament Goes Virtual

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC; www.nawicomaha.com) Greater Omaha Chapter #116 announced that their 2020 golf fundraiser will be virtual, given remaining coronavirus pandemic restrictions on social gatherings. Tagged as “2020 In the Rough—A Virtual Golf Fundraiser,” the annual tournament raises money for trade-related scholarships, apprenticeship training, and other industry activities.

In the Rough sponsorship opportunities will be available until September 30, and the tournament will include an industry happy hour with raffles and hole prizes at a later date, following lifting of local social-distancing restrictions. Supported by sponsorships for the golf tournament, The Greater Omaha Chapter of NAWIC offers scholarships to men and women pursuing careers in the construction industry via a college education or a trade apprenticeship program.

The National Association of Women in Construction is an international organization of women working in and around the construction industry. Their core purpose is to enhance the success of women in the industry through education, networking, and leadership opportunities.
