Nebraska Alumni Association Launches Online Career Platform, Husker Connect

The Nebraska Alumni Association (huskerconnect.unl.edu) is excited to announce that this month marks the launch of a new online platform—Husker Connect—to connect UNL students with alumni and professionals to share guidance and tips about succeeding in the classroom and in careers. Husker Connect is a partnership between the Nebraska Alumni Association, the UNL College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, the College of Business, the College of Engineering, and the Center for Entrepreneurship. The platform was introduced to UNL alumni in December and will be rolled out to UNL students in the above colleges in January.

“Huskers look out for each other in the classroom, in business, and in life,” said Jordan Gonzales, director of alumni engagement at the Nebraska Alumni Association. “One of the biggest demands of both our alumni and current students is to get advice and tips from people who have been in their situations before. Whether you’re a student trying to jump into the job market or a professional trying to advance in their career, Husker Connect will help you take the next step.”

Husker Connect allows students and professionals to devote as much or as little time as they would like to be in a mentorship. It can be as simple as asking a few questions via email or phone on a one-time basis or setting up periodic phone calls or chat sessions. Joining Husker Connect is free, and UNL alumni and other professionals are invited to sign up and create a profile at huskerconnect.unl.edu.
