On July 19, generations of the Legacy (legacyretirement.com) community came together to celebrate the people and shared experiences that have shaped Legacy over three decades.

Guests enjoyed live music from The Bottle Tops, photo booth and a Legacy scavenger hunt. Lee’s Chicken and Taco Inn catered the evening, and community partner Cornhusker Bank joined the celebration.

Residents celebrated alongside their children and grandchildren, employees shared the evening with their families, and former team members had the
opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and people they had worked beside over the years.

Legacy also partnered with Lincoln Hygiene Network to collect donations for its Senior Hygiene Closet. Guests contributed personal care and hygiene items for seniors in need throughout Lincoln.

Legacy began with founder Jerry Joyce’s desire to create something better for his mother, Berenice. That beginning grew into a family-owned organization shaped by the belief that growing older should not mean giving up the relationships, traditions, and experiences that make life meaningful.

Thirty years later, that sense of connection remains at the heart of Legacy, carried forward by the people who continue to be part of its story.
