Owners of Doorstep Diner Acquire Country Sliced Ham, Announce Plans for Renovation

Laurie Fraser, Chef Jeff, and Chad Klein with Doorstep Diner Catering recently acquired Country Sliced Ham & Cafe (www.countryslicedhamandcafe.com), located at 6900 O St., STE 120, in the Meridian Park Shopping Center. The store and restaurant has been a local favorite for 34 years, known for its gourmet hams grown and raised in Webster, IA, and glazed on-site here in Lincoln. In coming months, the new owners plan to completely renovate the restaurant for a fresh and contemporary look. They have also been scheming delicious new dishes to add to the menu alongside beloved classics. In particular, the expanded lunch menu now offers a selection of mouthwatering panini sandwiches, always hot off the grill-press. Other new additions to the menu include fresh soups, salads with organic greens, daily specials, and new grab-n-go desserts—all offered at a reasonable price point.

For the upcoming Easter holiday, Country Sliced Ham anticipates to sell out all hams quickly, so anyone looking to add a juicy ham to the family dinner table is encouraged to act promptly. Other convenient and tasty additions to consider are the mix-and-match pan meals (feed family of four for $13) offered through Doorstop Diner Catering from 4 to 6 p.m.
