On September 12, Pittenger & Anderson (P&A, pittand.com) was named to the CNBC FA 100 list of top financial advisory firms in the U.S., coming in at number 11 for 2023. This marks the fifth year in a row P&A has made the list, which covers the prior 12 months. P&A is the only Nebraska firm to make the list in 2023.

The CNBC FA 100 rankings are based on data culled from a list of 40,646 advisory firms by AccuPoint Solutions. Factors include advisory firm’s regulatory record, years in business, number of CFP certificants, advisors, total employees, ratio of advisors to total employees, assets under management, discretionary AUM, total accounts managed, number of states where registered and country of domicile. Each section was weighted according to specific criteria created by CNBC/AccuPoint.

The FA100 is not a pay-to-play accolade; CNBC does not charge advisors any fees to make the list. To use the CNBC FA 100 logo online and in print, CNBC required P&A to sign a licensing agreement, however, licensing was not a prerequisite to make the FA 100.
