Professional Networking Group (PNG) (pnglincoln.com) of Lincoln was thrilled to present the Food Bank of Lincoln a check for $2,809, providing over 5,600 meals for their fellow community members and neighbors. These funds were raised through PNG’s annual Pass the Hat campaign. Every spring, the local networking group encourages its members to donate to a selected charity at bi-weekly chapter meetings. The Food Bank of Lincoln was picked as the 2024 beneficiary because of its unique and impactful work in Southeast Nebraska. The check was presented at a PNG Companywide event on July 9.
“Our neighbors should not have to worry about where their next meal comes from, yet it is estimated that about 268,000 Nebraskans are food insecure,” said Brad Brodersen, owner of PNG. “This is a pressing issue that requires our immediate attention. PNG is all about developing relationships to help each other grow our businesses. We can’t do that and ignore that, in our community, one in seven of our neighbors and one in five children do not have access to the food they need for healthy, productive, and active lives.”
Professional Networking Group of Lincoln currently has five chapters in Lincoln and one in Omaha that meet every other week. The group culture is supportive and community-minded and makes it fun to do business, all without the use of a stopwatch.
