Sadoff E-Recycling & Data Destruction Obtains R2 Certification
Locally operated Sadoff E-Recycling & Data Destruction (www.sadoffecycle.com) announced in February that they have achieved certification to the R2 Responsible Recycling international standard for Electronics Recyclers. R2 is the leading standard for electronics repair and recycling. The R2 standard provides a common sense set of processes, safety measures, and documentation requirements for businesses that repair and recycle used electronics. R2 is rigorously and independently audited, emphasizing quality, safety, and transparency. Sadoff is now one of only three certified companies operating in the state of Nebraska.
“We consider ourselves in an elite class that has proven our security, processes, environmental commitment, and safety standards, allowing us to operate as an internationally recognized recycling solution for businesses located in the State of Nebraska and beyond,” stated Jason Lasky, executive vice president of Sadoff.
Sadoff E-Recycling & Data Destruction, a Sadoff Iron & Metal Company, began in 1947 as a provider of ferrous and nonferrous metal recycling services for manufacturers and industry. Sadoff has been assisting companies and individuals with their sustainability efforts for over 70 years. The move to include electronics recycling and provide secure data destruction services was a natural addition to their scope of services. Their certification to the R2 standard is in addition to their other internationally recognized certifications; ISO 9001 for quality, ISO 14001 for environmental responsibility, and OSHAS 18001 for Health and Safety. In addition to their Wisconsin-based recycling centers, they have recycling facilities located in Lincoln, Omaha, and La Vista, NE. More information about can be found online at www.sadoffecycle.com.
