Sam’s Club Celebrates 5th Anniversary of South Location
Sam’s Club (www.samsclub.com) recently celebrated the 5th anniversary of its South location, which opened in August of 2012, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the North location that year.
A two-day celebration kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce on August 28th. During the event, Sam’s Club employees presented checks totaling $10,000 dollars in community grants to the following organizations: Teammates Mentoring Program of Lincoln; Kloefkorn Elementary School PTO; Cornhusker Council, Boy Scouts of America; Tabitha; Bright Lights; Lincoln City Libraries; Nebraska Sports Council; Git R Done Foundation; Friendship Home of Lincoln; Camp Kesem; Sleep Well Nebraska; and the Lancaster County Agricultural Society. Additionally, store associates were honored for volunteering throughout the past year with the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, and a check was presented to representatives of the organization of funds that were raised during that time. The following day, Froggy 98 was on-site for a remote satellite, Coach Tom Osborne was present to sign copies of his newest book, and employees were treated to lunch from the Nitro Burger food truck.
Sam’s Club (www.samsclub.com) is proud to serve the Lincoln community at its two Lincoln locations: North – 27th & Superior (4900 N. 27th Street) and South – 84th & Hwy 2 (8480 Andermatt Drive).
