Savvy Seniors (NESavvySeniors.com) Empowerment Seminar is pleased to announce the topics for its upcoming monthly seminars. Held every first Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m. at Suite One Eleven in the Clocktower shopping area, 70th and A St., these seminars will focus on helping seniors navigate the emotional and cognitive aspects of aging.
The November seminar, scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, is titled “Going from WE to ME” and will address the emotional and practical challenges of adjusting to life after the loss of a spouse or partner. Participants will learn coping strategies; ways to rebuild social connections and how to find new purpose and joy. Expert panelists will share compassionate advice on how to navigate this difficult time and embrace life’s next chapter.
On Wednesday, December 4, the seminar will focus on “The Aging Brain,” exploring how aging affects cognitive health. This session will cover topics such as memory, brain function and ways to promote mental sharpness. Experts will discuss the normal aging process and provide strategies to maintain brain health, as well as address common concerns about dementia and memory loss. Attendees will walk away with practical tips for keeping their minds sharp and engaged as they age.
In addition to these informative seminars, Savvy Seniors continues to offer its newly established Downsizing Club, which helps seniors manage the often overwhelming process of downsizing their homes. The club offers practical advice, emotional support and resources to make the transition smoother.
