Shepherd’s Rest Goat and Sheep Rescue Announces Upcoming Goat Yoga Sessions

Shepherd’s Rest Goat and Sheep Rescue (@ShepherdsRestRescue) will hold two more goat yoga sessions on September 14 and 21. These hour-long classes start at 10 a.m. and are held at the Shepherd’s Rest farm north of Pickrell, 426 W. Cedar Rd. The yoga instructor will be Casey Weiss with Juniper Spa & Yoga Studio, and participants are encouraged to bring their own mat/towel and water bottle. All ages are welcome, and classes are $15 per person to support the rescue organization in their efforts to provide hay for food and pay medical bills for the goats and sheep.

Shepherd’s Rest Goat and Sheep Rescue exists to rescue, rehabilitate, adopt, and provide sanctuary for goats and sheep in need. They also educate the public about goats and train goats and humans as therapy teams. Goat yoga has many wonderful benefits, including a deeper sense of connection to nature and stress reduction.

For those who are unable to attend one of these upcoming goat yoga events, Shepherd’s Rest also does a “Cubicle Cuddles” program through which they bring one or a few goats to businesses. They’ll take the goats around the office and say hi to your whole team! The goats are very clean, friendly, and guaranteed to improve employee moral!
