SP Group, P.C. Competes in Volleyball to Maintain Balance between Work and Life
In an effort to tip the work/life scale towards “life” after their busier tax season, several SP Group, P.C. (www.spgrouppc.com) team members have been participating in a summer sand volleyball league. CPAs Erica Vossler and Ross Reynolds, and
Team Accountant Clayton Peterson, rally every Monday evening to face their opponents at the sand courts at Playmakers Bar & Grill.
Teams are comprised of three women and three men and the SP Group team is rounded out by drawing from their pool of friends and significant others. The season consists of nine weeks of regular play followed by a week of tournament play. Vossler credits their success to “breaking up the normal work week and building relationships outside of work.”
“The SP Team is very competitive and we don’t want to lose,” said Peterson. Reynolds also mentioned that the weekly volleyball is a great way to interact with co-workers outside of the office.
