SP Group, P.C. Holds Basketball Challenge Between Interns and Mentors
SP Group, P.C. (www.spgrouppc.com), a growing entrepreneurial accounting firm, recently held a basketball challenge between the tax season interns and their mentors. The pop-a-shot basketball arcade-style game consisted of a 16-person bracket – the SP Group version of March Madness. The tournament was dueled out, head-to-head, in front of their cheering teammates. A few friendly wagers might have been thrown down as they battled to the championship round. Coming out on top, two mentors, Clayton Peterson and Ross Reynolds, fought to the end for gift cards as well as bragging rights until next year’s challenge.
The final pairing did not disappoint in a hotly contested showdown. The defending champion, Clayton Peterson, was declared the winner! This contest was a terrific opportunity to mix some light-hearted fun in with the serious business of helping their clients with their tax service needs. While the basketball challenge immerses SP Group’s interns into their culture of teamwork and competitiveness, it also stresses the value of building relationships during their internship.
SP Group, P.C. was founded on these four core values: relationships, the power of team, life/work balance, and competitiveness. They like to win at SP Group, and this competitive sports-minded culture makes a firm better at achieving success for their clients.
