Nonprofit Tabitha (Tabitha.org) is excited to announce its launch of several initiatives since debuting its Workforce Development Program in 2018.

Tabitha’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course combines 46 hours of online-only learning with in-person clinical and classroom experience. The course, plus a $1,000 stipend, is provided through the Sue Hill CNA Sponsorship Program. This initiative celebrates the legacy of Sue Hill, a monumental member of Tabitha’s staff for many years. The next CNA course begins September 12. For more information, and to register, visit tabitha.org/careers/workforcedevelopment/cna-courses.html.

The CPR Lab was established as part of the Workforce Development project to maintain Tabitha’s high standards for care. A quality, well-equipped in-house lab allows training sessions to take place under Tabitha’s roof, rather than sending staff to alternate facilities for certification. The course is self-directed and enables staff to benefit from easy access to training for life-threatening situations.

Lastly, Tabitha’s nursing student program provides financial aid to full-time, part-time, and PRN Tabitha employees enrolled in an accredited nursing program. This directly supports the standards of innovative and quality care that Tabitha provides throughout Nebraska. The financial aid rewarded may be up to $2,340 per semester, and increases each semester the employee remains in their program; it is based upon the employee’s years of service and hours worked at Tabitha.

As the state’s quality award-winning senior care expert, nonprofit Tabitha empowers people to live joyfully, age gratefully. Learn more at Tabitha.org.
