The Music in Motion Performing Arts Brings A Landmark Cultural Arts Resource to Lincoln
The Music in Motion Performing Arts Studios (themusicinmotion.com) is building a landmark cultural arts resource in Lincoln. Organization founder, Michelle Moyer, is dynamically bringing a wealth of teaching and performance experience to the area. Michelle, who grew up in Lincoln and majored in music at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, has been living in California for the past 23 years where she has been running The Music in Motion. Prior to moving to California she was a rock singer at Tokyo Disney, an entertainer on the Norwegian Cruise Line, and is an equity member after performing in the National Broadway Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. She is very excited to come back to Lincoln and establish herself here in the arts community and share her expertise with her hometown and Omaha.
The Music in Motion has several programs to offer to children of all ages. Michelle is extremely excited to bring the highly acclaimed early childhood program, Music Together to both Lincoln and Omaha. She will also be offering after-school music programs both for experienced and inexperienced performers in TK through 12th grade. The Music in Motion’s various groups focus on both music and movement. Additionally she will be teaching both voice and piano. During her music rehearsals, Michelle facilitates a positive, focused, and energized environment that maximizes the potential of every child.
Michelle has worked with young children as a Music Together® educator for over 20 years and has her Level 1 Certification. She has a reputation for creating a safe, caring, and musically rich environment where children explore and engage in fun, developmentally appropriate activities. Her classes incorporate movement, rhythm instruments, and playful activities for the entire family to enjoy.
