Employees or volunteers are often given the responsibility of planning and managing a meeting or event. Annette Marquez, Owner and President of The Perfect Occasion LLC is presenting a class on Meeting and Event Planning at Southeast Community College. The interactive course is designed to give you tools that will help you make events run smoothly, save money and reduce stress. The class will focus on meeting and events for companies, associations and nonprofits and is designed for people with little or no planning experience.
Among the planning basics we will cover are goal setting, budgets, venue and supplier selection, as well as money saving and negotiating tips. They will also discuss common terms used in the event industry. Please note they will not discuss wedding or life celebration events.
The two-night course is Monday, January 28th and February 4, from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the Continuing Education Center, 301 S 68th Street Place, Lincoln.
