The United States Coast Guard Band, a 55-member ensemble based at the US Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut, represents the United States Coast Guard and the United States Department of Homeland Security, and they are performing on the Lied Center’s (liedcenter.org) main stage on Wednesday, July 3, at 6:30 p.m. In addition to performing concert tours such as this around the nation, the United States Coast Guard Band has also played in the former Soviet Union, Canada, England, Japan and Taiwan. Tickets are free, but those wishing to attend need to reserve a ticket, which can be done at tickets.liedcenter.org.
