While summer camps have officially kicked off for Bright Lights (BrightLights.org), there’s still time to apply to be a camp assistant.
Being a camp assistant lets students 8th grade and older gain resume-worthy experience and earn fun volunteer hours. These valuable volunteers provide support to teachers in each of the nearly 100 camps Bright Lights offers, enriching the experience for everyone involved. Adults can volunteer for these positions, too! If you’re bringing a student to a camp, consider staying to volunteer. Visit brightlights.org/camp-assistants to apply today.
Camps take place at Roper Elementary as well as at other community sites over five weeks: June 5-9, June 12-16, June 19- 23, June 26-30 and July 10-14. Camp topics include science, technology, math, art, literature and music with most having a STEAM connection. Bright Lights provides before care and lunch care at some camp locations.
Bright Lights provides energized, engaging and fun summer learning opportunities. Their week-long half-day and full-day camps allow students to learn and create, master new skills and build new relationships. Find out more about these opportunities at BrightLights.org or call (402) 420-1115.
