Children in HopeSpoke’s Extended Day Treatment Program are hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for their families, and you can help! HopeSpoke (hopespoke.org) staff will prepare and serve the Thanksgiving meal for all 20 children in the program, as well as their families. Your gift of $25 or more can help purchase all the fixings: turkeys, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables and more. Pies have been generously donated by Lincoln Center Kiwanis.

Extended Day Treatment is an after-school program for children ages five to 11 with significant emotional and behavioral challenges. Services are trauma-informed and help young people strengthen their coping skills, improve social functioning and develop genuine relationships with others.

“Sharing a festive group meal with friends and family is a meaningful way for these young children to practice the skills they are learning in Extended Day Treatment and further meaningful relationships,” said Katie McLeese Stephenson, MSW, Executive Director of HopeSpoke.

Donations also will help purchase arts and crafts supplies for children in the program to make holiday gifts for their families.
