Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln (lincolnhabitat.org) kicked off the Women Build 2023 campaign at the Inspire Awards on September 14. They are hoping to recruit 40 women to be a part of this fundraising and volunteer campaign. All participants will be asked to raise a minimum of $500 each and volunteer one day on a construction site in May.

Since women are so often faced with the issue of finding affordable housing for their families, Habitat wanted to bring local women together to help tackle the issue and raise funds to build homes for families in need of safe, affordable housing.

“Because housing impacts health, education, and financial stability, women need the opportunity to live in a safe and affordable space in order for their families to thrive,” says Deanna Walz, Habitat’s director of development. “This will be an opportunity for women to help other women and to show the entire community what can be done when we work together.”

All participants will be invited to the Women Build Kick Off Party in April at DelRay 817, sponsored by the Integrity Group of Lincoln powered by kwElite and Union Bank & Trust.

If your business is interested in partnering or sponsoring this campaign, please contact Deanna Walz at dwalz@lincolnhabitat.org.
