HopeSpoke (hopespoke.org) is preparing to serve a Thanksgiving meal to children in the Extended Day Treatment Program (EDT), and you can help!

EDT is HopeSpoke’s after-school program for children ages 5-11 with emotional and/or behavioral challenges. Services are trauma-informed and help young people strengthen their coping and regulation skills, develop genuine relationships with others, and improve social functioning.

EDT staff will prepare and serve a Thanksgiving meal this month for all 20 children in the program, as well as their families. Your gift of $25 or more can help purchase all the fixings: turkeys, potatoes, vegetables, desserts, and more.

“Sharing a festive group meal with friends and family is a meaningful way for these young children to practice the skills they are learning in Extended Day Treatment and further meaningful relationships,” says Katie McLeese Stephenson, MSW, executive director of HopeSpoke.
