The Gourmet Comfort Classic, a celebration and fundraiser for HopeSpoke (hopespoke.org), will be Friday, May 5, at the Scottish Rite Ballroom in downtown Lincoln. This benefit gala celebrates favorite comfort foods while supporting HopeSpoke’s mission to ‘inspire healthy futures for children and families through comprehensive behavioral and mental health services.’
This year’s theme is Best Latina Comida (Latin food), featuring local chefs competing for a trophy and cash prize based on guest votes. Social hour begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails, live music and a silent auction, followed by dinner and a short program.
All proceeds help HopeSpoke provide mental health services for more than 1,000 vulnerable children, teens, adults and families annually. Thanks to generous support through this event, HopeSpoke is able to provide a sliding fee scale as low as $0 for families to access therapy regardless of ability to pay.
