This year H&R Block of Lincoln has put together a team to provide financial support to several local charities, including Habitat for Humanity.

Over the past couple of months, they have been working with Lincoln / Lancaster County Habitat for Humanity’s Resource Coordinator to find an avenue to provide not only financial support, but also volunteer support for local Habitat efforts. As a result of discussions H&R Block has decided to co-sponsor the building of a home here in Lincoln at 4935 Myrtle Avenue, and Saturday, July 23rd they raised the walls that they helped build.

H&R Block of Lincoln had approximately 20 associates participating in the building of the Habitat House on Myrtle Avenue. The participating associates ranged from tax professionals, to client service professionals, to office managers, to the senior leadership team, including the owners of the H&R Block operations in Lincoln, Lance Nelson and Jim Rose. Both Lance and Jim are former executives from H&R Block’s corporate office in Kansas City.
