The Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation will hold their annual event on May 20th at 5:30 pm at the Sesostris Shrine Center on Saltillo Rd and Hwy 2. The event will include a silent and live auction as well as entertainment by Lyp-Schtick, Lincoln’s improv comedy group. They will also hold a golf tournament and awards event on June 10th at 8:30 am at Wilderness Ridge Golf Club and a Kids Day June 11th from noon to 4 pm at the Cooper YMCA with games, clowns, prizes and water safety demonstrations.
All proceeds raised from these events help develop their water safety and awareness project to help keep our kids safe around water in NE and throughout the United States and beyond. Their Float 4 Life classes are currently in all the Lincoln YMCAs and are expanding to Beatrice, Malcolm, and have just been approved in the Ys in all Omaha locations. These classes teach vital skills to reach for the side of the pool, hold their breath and float on their backs.
