Kingery Construction Teams up with North Star Students to Build Food Pantries

Kingery Construction (kccobuilders.com) teamed up with students and staff of the Boys and Girls Club of Lincoln/Lancaster County at North Star High School to build four Little Free Pantries to be installed in neighborhoods around Lincoln this fall.

On October 26 at Kingery’s shop, 24 North Star Students spent the afternoon learning about careers in the construction industry and had the opportunity to engage in hands-on education by building and painting the food pantries. This interactive event produced four finished pantries that will be filled with food to help out struggling families. This opportunity also opened the door for students’ questions about construction career opportunities. Millard Lumber assisted in the project by donating a portion of the needed lumber and supplies. Kingery Construction looks forward to getting the pantries installed and collecting donations to fill them with goods in the coming months.
