American Red Cross Moves into New Chapter Office, Celebrates with Ribbon Cutting

American Red Cross of Nebraska and Iowa (redcross.org) celebrated the moving of a chapter office on November 15 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony conducted by the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce. Serving the Capital Area and Eastern Nebraska, the office is located in the Lincoln Medical Education Partnership building on 4600 Valley Rd., STE 300. The ceremony was an opportunity to educate attendees on all the imperative work the American Red Cross does to alleviate human suffering.

The Red Cross responds to a disaster in the United States every eight minutes. It provides nearly half of the blood used by hospitals and has programs for active and veteran military members plus their families. Attendees learned how important volunteerism is for the safety and upkeep of America’s blood supply.

The Red Cross is a worldwide institution in which all societies have equal status and share equal responsibilities and duties in helping each other. It is a voluntary relief movement not prompted in any manner by desire for gain.

American Red Cross of Nebraska and Iowa serves our communities through six chapter locations and Blood Donation Centers. Visit redcross.org for more information on how to become a volunteer. You can also schedule a blood drive by calling (402) 441-7997.
