Lincoln Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab Announces New Certifications
Lincoln Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab, LLC (lincolnpt.org) proudly recognizes two professionals at the practice who have recently obtained new certifications.
Alan Thompson, PT, DPT, CHT has earned his board certification in Hand Therapy. Alan is a 1998 graduate of the University of Nebraska Lincoln, BA, and 2006 graduate of Creighton University with a doctorate in Physical Therapy. He joins Dan Creal, PT, CHT, Nebraska’s first physical therapist board certified in hand therapy in 1990. Together they form the most experienced hand and upper extremity rehab team in Lincoln. Thompson’s board certification re-affirms Lincoln Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab’s commitment to hand, elbow and shoulder rehabilitation, in the community. Thompson’s expertise in upper extremity also forms a solid foundation for the implementation of a throwing program for overhead athletes, swimmers and racquet sport athletes.
Troy Goetsch, PT, DPT, SCS has earned his board certification in Sports Physical Therapy. Troy is a 2009 graduate of the University of Nebraska Lincoln, BA, and 2015 graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center with a doctorate in Physical Therapy. He then completed a rigorous, two-year specialized sports residency program that included class, training room, on-field, and clinical components. He joins Chad Wemhoff, PT, SCS at our location in south Lincoln. Together they form a duo highly dedicated to the optimal rehabilitation of athletes of all kinds and ages. Goetsch has a special interest in the strength and fitness communities that has been reinforced by his own competitive experiences in power lifting, Strongman, and the Highland Games, as well as movement screening, prehabilitation, and injury prevention.
