LMEP’s Stepping Stones Program Updates Look, Name, and Services
Lincoln Medical Education Partnership (LMEP) has recently revamped its Stepping Stones (www.steppingstoneslincoln.com) for Families program by giving it a new name, a new look, and adding expanded services and insurance plans. Stepping Stones is an outpatient substance abuse treatment center, providing alcohol and drug assessments and counseling services. Stepping Stones accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, Midlands Choice, Nebraska Total Care, Wellcare of Nebraska, United Healthcare Community Plan, and Medica.
Stepping Stones now offers Safety Sensitive Education and counseling for those in Safety Sensitive positions under the Department of Transportation (DOT) covered entities. To participate in Safety Sensitive Education, an individual must have completed a Substance Use Evaluation with a DOT qualified Substance Abuse Professional and have a recommendation for drug and/or alcohol education. Sessions can be held individually or in a group setting.
At one convenient site (4600 Valley Rd.), LMEP is able to offer families the tools to achieve good health and to become self-sufficient. To make an appointment or learn more, contact Shannon Miller at (402) 488-6511 / kmadcharo@lmep.com, or visit Stepping Stones’ website at www.steppingstoneslincoln.com.
