TFLC Supports Community Campaign for the Great American Smokeout November 18
The American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout is just around the corner and Tobacco Free Lancaster County (TFLC, www.TobaccoFreeLancasterCounty.org) is ready to support this year’s community campaign! TFLC has worked with local business leaders utilizing feedback from last year’s 19 participating businesses to develop an even easier, ready-to-use campaign for #GASOLNK #GASOLancasterCoNe in 2021. There are options for weekly emails, flyers, social media, and more, or you can opt for a one day event on Thursday, November 18. Resources are available for both in-person and virtual environments, for large businesses or small, and there is even a Spanish resource guide for this year’s event.
Whether you feel your business has high rates of tobacco use or if you feel like you’re a tobacco-free champion, this free event helps educate and bring together the community to support tobacco quit attempts.
You don’t have to have a tobacco-free policy to participate in #GASOLNK #GASOLancasterCoNe. It’s simply a way to support the community. However, if you feel like your business has overcome obstacles related to tobacco or is a shining star, please visit www.tobaccofreelancastercounty.org to complete an application to be the next TFLC Tobacco-Free Business Champion.
Tobacco Free Lancaster County works to protect the public by eliminating exposure to secondhand smoke, preventing youth from starting to use tobacco, providing tobacco education to all populations, and encouraging people to quit.
