Tobacco Free Lancaster County Announces UBT as 2021 Tobacco-Free Business Champion
Tobacco Free Lancaster County (TLFC, syelkin@lincoln.ne.gov) is proud to announce that Union Bank & Trust (UBT) is their 2021 Tobacco-Free Business Champion. UBT has promoted a healthier, smoke-free workplace since 2005 and has continued to expand and improve their policy to provide a safe, positive environment that is free from exposure to any tobacco products, including e-cigarettes. UBT believes that having a tobacco-free workplace is one step in making sure all employees, guests, and vendors have the potential to live their best lives. Recognizing the challenges of nicotine addiction, the family-minded culture of UBT supports positive progress toward being tobacco-free, no matter how big or small. From financial support for resources to emotional support cheering on those trying to quit, UBT wants their people to be both personally and professionally happy and healthy.
Businesses that have strong tobacco-free policies, which include cessation support for their employees, are one of the best ways to reduce tobacco use in our community. TFLC thanks Union Bank & Trust for doing their part to make Lincoln and Lancaster County a healthier, tobacco-free community!
Funding for Tobacco Free Lancaster Country is provided by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services/Tobacco Free Nebraska Program as a result of the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement.
