On June 10th, patients and friends of the Lincoln Orthopaedic Center (LOC) were treated to lunch, 18 holes of golf and a dinner buffet at Hillcrest Country Club. For the fifth year, LOC has held the tournament as a celebration of their patients getting back in the “swing,” while simultaneously raising funds for Friendship Home, Lincoln’s specialized domestic violence shelter.
This year, $12,000 was donated through LOC sponsors, a live auction, and free-will donations. Over the course of five years, LOC has donated $44,000 to help battered women and their children find a safe home.

Founded in 1948, the Lincoln Orthopaedic Center provides exceptional surgical and orthopaedic services including sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, total joint replacement, hand/wrist and elbow surgery as well as spinal surgery.

Friendship Home was founded in 1978 and provides safe shelter, advocacy and supportive services to battered women and their children.
