Lincoln Orthopaedic Center (LOC) organized its 8th annual food drive to support the Food Bank of Lincoln – Campaign Against Hunger.

Cheri Lawrence, Lincoln Food Bank Special Events Coordinator said, “In the past three years LOC has raised 2780 pounds of food and $1575 in monetary donations.  Every dollar we receive can distribute $7 worth of food to those in need.”

“Each year we organize an internal competition which results in better donations for this wonderful cause,” said Tara Sherman, LOC Marketing and Business Development Coordinator.  “The past two years we have also invited patients, neighboring businesses, employees and family to support the cause by joining us for lunch on Friday.  All proceeds from the $5 meal were donated to the Food Bank,” said Tara Sherman.

Lincoln Orthopaedic Center opened in 1948 and was the first orthopaedic practice in Lincoln.  Currently, LOC has nine surgeons, four physician assistants and an outstanding support staff.  LOC has proven itself as one the most well-established and accomplished orthopaedic and sports medicine practices in the area.  LOC is located at 6900 A Street.
